Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

I was here for a convention. Three nights. Ample convention facilities. Initial room was a cave, complete with water leak. Issue quickly rectified with a new room. Rooms were dated with slow plumbing. AC controls were balky, but at least they worked. The breakfast was OK, pretty standard. One dinner in was just OK. Banquet dinner was, not great. But. The place was clean - like really - and shiny. Floors gleamed. The staff was upbeat, friendly and attentive. Breakfast staff was very personable. Overall, great staff, clean digs. But a tired physical plant.

It is the worst double tree I've been to. Lobby is impeccable, hotel is beautiful but the service is horrible. Room were not made every day, coffee never replenished, room was not really clean, towel we're not changed when on the floor they where just left there and there was no washcloth we had to ask every day at the lobby to get them. Air conditioning was smelling old wet dog and lot of noise and nothing was done. I've been to at least 30 doubletree and this is the worst service I ever got

Check in process was easy and front desk staff were nice. The location is not ideal, in a rough part of town, and lots of trash in parking lot and surrounding areas. The hallways, commons areas, and rooms were disgusting. There were old socks, hangers, room cards, and other mysterious items behind the tv stand and under the end tables. The pool was cloudy and paint peeling all over the sides. Very outdated. Would not recommend or stay again.
